High current solid state relays are designed for extremely demanding tasks and can switch loads of 1000A or greater. They use thermally managed heatsinks or forced air cooling to efficiently dissipate heat sent from parallel-connected thyristors, IGBTs, or SiC devices. These relays include industrial furnaces, motor drives, and power distribution systems, and feature zero-voltage switching and surge current ratings up to 10 times the nominal value. Furthermore, the relays' dust and moisture seals are hermetically mounted for additional durability. Following IEC 60947 guidelines ensures dependable non-stop use while requiring very little upkeep.
